Hi guys, just taking alook at functions on tiler world, just checked the find a tiler i.e put in colchester i came up in it's findings as Jason King ok this is me, but not my business name. can this be updated?

The short answer is no, not easily and we would rather you didn't use your company name.... the long answer is below

the original concept of Tilerworld is that tilers are selected solely on the basis of the feedback they get, the pictures of work in their gallery and their profiles. For this reason we decided that we would display only tilers names. The current default in the search therefore is for tiler name. The reason we want to do this is to stop the site being clogged up with people who see it as just a free advert and don't engage with the community.If a tiler is selected through TilerWorld we obviously want that to be a tiler who supports us in retrun for our support of them.
Now some tilers have been "cute" when they signed up and put their company names in the name box. We will be shortly carrying out our first cleanse of the database and those tilers that have not logged on or who have not been active in uploading ratings or pictures.
The idea of Tilerworld is simple. Eventually we will reach a happy medium of the right number of active fixers for the consumer traffic we attract. In this way we hope that word of mouth will become as important a source for traffic to the site as the cards we have in 1500 outlets nationwide, or the online or offline advertising we do. This is why if you type in any misspeling or misheard name tilerworld, tileaworld, tilersworld etc etc... you will come to our site. Tilersforums did try and hijack our name by putting a page up as UKTILERSWORLD but as most amateurs do, they have missed the point.

The secret of success here is not the number of tilers we have on the site but that the numbers of consumers looking for tilers is matched with the numbers of tilers available and willing to do a top class job.

We are spending scary amounts of money to ensure that consumers come to the site and we thank our regular tiler visitors like yourself Jason for your support and would ask that you take the opportunity to tell everyone about the site, whether that is with TilerWorld logos on your van, stationary, links from your website etc or just passing the word to people you know.
