Ok, let me set the scene for you:

The TV Show - A current affairs programme broadcast on the national TV station RTE (equivalent to the BBC)

The Presenter - Pat Kenny, Irelands number one tv presenter on a very large liscence fee funded salary ( I suppose a bit like Ross). He was also involved in a court case a few years back where he sued his neighbour. His neighbour had given him right of way use in a field beside his property. Kenny decided to try and 'claim' the land as his own but rightly lost the case. Remember this bit of the story as the video plays.

Pat Kennys guest - An Irish Minisiter for Socila affairs who is talking about harsh cutbacks in an upcoming budget.

Similiar to the UK, Ireland has had it's own expense claim scandals, are going through a rough recession and getting hit with harsh cutbacks. The locals are none too happy and this guy in the audience, lets rip on behalf of the nation

But the rest of the audience?
Bloody bunch of sycophants laughing and clapping at his 'joke' at the end there.

Not one appeared to back the guy up.

And to think, Ross is on 10 times Kenny's salary

I thought he was spot on too - well spoken and in the circumstances, made his point as good as possible. You are bang on re the audience ... but there you go, that's the power celebrities have to turn things back in their favour. Look at Ross, in my opinion a foul mouthed yob with limited talent. Saw him interview the lady that is Nicole Kidman one time - asking her if her dead grandmother was a bit of a 'looker'. Common as muck that fella and well over paid!!!
