Either dry lined or screwed to studwork, plasterboard is water sensitive and will perish if in constant contact with water. For shower areas it is best practice to tank the boards with a Bal Waterproofing system before tiling. Plasterboard will carry up to 32kg per M2 ( incl adhesive & grout )
