Is it me or is the Schluter man useing the WRONG trowel????

looks like a 6mm notch there Simon, 4-6mm is usual recommend

It looks a deeper notch Si, maybe Schluter boys can make a comment, " use a trowel to suit the tile format" was mentioned.

The bigger worry is the gap in the ply at 3:29.

Hello All

Our American colleagues who put the video together, assure us that the correct trowels have been used.

The gap in the top layer of ply is required by American building codes and is specified in the TCA (Tile Council of America) installation handbook, this is for any potential expansion of the timber.

Hopefully this clears up the questions.
