Got a couple of people that want to add reviews of work and they have stated that the site asks for a Job Reference. Is this the invoice number or unique reference I give them for the work. I usually use there surname for the reference.

Can they still post there reviews online or has this function stopped?

Thank you

Hi Colin,

we are in the process of updating this process. We have to have a balance between making it as simple as possible for people to review and making the authentication process as easy as possible too..... I don't think it is an anyone's benefits to have the site crammed with people rating themselves. When a customer has found you through the site, they are issued with a job number. This together with your tiler reference allows a rating to be made directly onto the site.

The issue at the moment is that we are in the catch 22 situation of getting tilers to interact with the site so that customers can see the ratings so that they can book tilers through the site so they can then review them!.....

As it stands at the moment you can do one of two things.

1. email the job details with your tiler number, customer name, address, email (if possible) and contact number to info@tilerworld.com . We will then input this on to the sytem for you. There is normally a couple of days delay in this.

2. You could go to the main TilerWorld site. Find yourself by typing in your post code.. Enter the customer details on the form that comes up. You will then have a job number to rate in the normal way

As I said we are looking at ways to simplify this process and either Alex@BAL or myself will update you very early next week as to what system we are putting in place

Hope this answers your query

Hi, What's the point in handing out rating forms at the moment then?

So it looks like you have made an effort. Customer wont be interested in you with no ratings or pictures of your skills, when he has loads of other lads promoting themselves.

Yes but when they go to add a review they will be asked for a job number .
Without this they can't go any further and as the job is finished they will have to ring you up again, I feel many wont be bothered

Andrew,

The best way with the current system is to print out the paper copy and ask them to complete the rating when they pay you and the job is done ...you can then offer to post it / email it to us for them. This has been successful for a lot of fixers.

As Paul said though, this was just a way to get ratings on jobs that are not found through TilerWorld just to get your profile started - it will be solved long term by the TilerWorld system of only ratings for jobs from TilerWorld (where the job ref is given the customer when they get quotes). Further to this though as we look to continue the opportunity to get more ratings short-term we will be announcing how we carry on the ratings system short-term for jobs outside TilerWorld this week ...will be all over the forum and the dashboard in the next couple of days!

Cheers,
Alex

Hi,
When you look at the form to download and print it has "JOB-LTDOFF" in the job ref section and if i print 10 out they ALL have this on, you cant have 10 people with the samme ref number. How do you delete it.

Does this Jod Ref number only apply if the job was obtained through BAL or does it relate to a job spec through quotebuilder?????

The new function allows the same job reference to be used by all (multiple) customers until we move to the ongoing system of pure TilerWorld jobs being the only ones rated.

This means multiple jobs can use the same dummy job reference as well as your unique id to rate you. This is the point of the new system ...so please use this forms and don't delete anything!

We will be monitoring the ratings with this dummy code and will contact people we feel are abusing the system but it essentailly means all customers can rate you instantly online when the job is complete (or you can post / email details back to us to do if customer has no email).

This is for a limited time but the end date is unconfirmed. Instead we will give everyone a good couple of weeks notice before we move to pure TilerWorld jobs with all unique job references being the only ones allowed.

By the way the TilerWorld jobs being done at the moment with the unique code will obviously work as normal on the ratings system.

Cheers,
Alex

Cheers Alex. Brilliant idea.
Now your customers can go straight to the review page, and use the dummy ref instantly.

(dummy number etc.) I have two customers Id like to guide to the rating system, i used BAL on both their jobs (which can be substantiated if required) but they didnt find me via the tilerworld system - is this allowed? thx Stan

As I said in my pm to you Stan, this is still available, we will be reviewing the offer in the next week or so. Until then any new rating you can still submit.

I don't have a genuine TW account, I have more than enough work so I'm real fortunate. Good luck to everyone winning work here, this is going to be some hell of a site when it has matured.
