He used a range of different tiles and designs, including modular limestone, large format and natural stone (which happens to be his favourite) to create an impeccable showroom, as shown below. Russ has taken advantage of creating his own webpage through Tilerworld.com which he finds is a really useful tool. “I give my web details to the majority of my customers so that they can look at my previous work. The feedback I get is really good.” The contact that Russ can now have through the forum on TilerWorld is great too. He stated “it is really helpful to talk to other tilers with 20 and sometimes up to 30 years experience.” He added “I couldn’t ask for more!” Russ is currently awaiting a decision on a quote requested through the website for a conservatory floor to be tiled. The recently launched new BAL Variset XP Adhesive has been welcomed by Russ. He stated “Already I have used Variset powder on a number of jobs – about 6 or 7 bags in total. This is great where areas need to be walked on soon after and also for areas that need to be grouted quickly.” He has yet to use the Variset liquid (to slow down the setting time), but has a bottle on hand for such occurrences, which may be helpful in the summer months.
